The Gomoa West District Assembly in the Central Region has distributed over 7, 588 seedlings of trees to the farmers in the district as part of the community mass production of the crop.
The project which is under the government’s flagship programme; Ecosystem Restoration and Green Ghana project is being facilitated between the Assembly and Member of Parliament for Gomoa West Constituncy.
Speaking to media, the District Chief Executive for Gomoa West District, Mr Nkoom advised those whom benefits from the project to make sure that there be a regula checked up and they should watering ever two or three days to make sure that trees will sustian in future
He said they will not plant only trees but inface two they will make sure that they will plant a trees that bear a fruit which human being can consum in future.
For his part, Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa West Constituncy, Hon Richard Gyan Mensah added that Assembly Members whom benefits from Green Ghana trees project should encourage theirs residents to plant more trees.
