Shenzhen FC talisman, Frank Acheampong is set to miss Ghana’s international friendly match against Morocco on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced.
According to the Ghana FA, the pacey attacker has been excused from tomorrow’s encounter as he grieves his mother who he buried over the past weekend.
“Frank is bereaved. He laid his late mother to eternal glory over the weekend and couldn’t make time to join the team for the matches. But the China-based winger was at the Airport to see the team off as a sign of support,” a statement on the GFA website has said today.
Meanwhile, information gathered indicates that Frank Acheampong will link up with the Black Stars in Cape Coast in midweek when the team returns from Rabat.
He will have the chance to train with the team and be up for selection when Ghana hosts Cote d’Ivoire in the second friendly match scheduled to be played this week.
