Divisional Chief of Sempe in Ga State of the Greater Accra Region, Nii Adote Otintor I is now an acting President of the Ga Traditional Council (GTC).
The newly inducted President of GTC was inducted Monday March 1 2021, in the presence of some major chiefs under the paramountcy.
The Ga Otublohum Mantse, Nii Dodoo Nsaki pronounced him as legitimate occupant of the presidency of the Ga Traditional Council.
At the coronation Nii Dodoo Nsaki said he is confident that the new Acting President will help in resolving chieftaincy disputes that characterized by way of painting and given bad name to Ga State.
He stated that the all the chiefs must support newly installed in full swing so that it will enable him succeed.
In his remarks, Acting Ga President Nii Adote Otintor promised to foster unity to the state and among the people, by leading with truth and trust as his guiding principles.
He also pledged to serve the people, promote education and the Ga heritage, while encouraging a united people.
He was optimistic that he is going work hand in hand to restore hope and bring lasting solutions to chieftaincy disputes that characterized the image of Ga State.
On the COVID-19 and its spread in the country, the acting President of GTC urged all and sundry to always wear nose masks and wash our hands often.”
With traditional Ga Chieftancy culture on display, persons in attendance enjoyed amidst drumming, dance among others.
It would recalled that On Tuesday the September, 20 2016,the Principal elder of Sempe Nii Korle Bu (Korle Bu Mantse) presented Nii Adote Otinto II as the Sempe Mantse to the Ga Traditional Council for his induction into the Ga Traditional Council as Ga customs demand.
Therefore Nii Adote Otinto II (Sempe Mantse) has assumed his seat as the Manklalo of the Ga State.
Other members of the Ga Traditional Council at that time are Nuumo Akwaah Mensah III (Nae Wulomo), Nuumo Ogbaamey III (Sakumo Wulomo), Nii Ayikai III (Akagmaaje Mantse), Nii Ayibonte II (Gbese Mantse) and the Acting President of the Ga Traditional Council Nii Dodoo Nsakyi (Otublohum Mantse).
Nii Ayibonte II (Gbese Mantse) spoke on behalf of the Council, he said the Council has accepted Nii Adote Otinto II (Sempe Mantse) into the Council and its most grateful to the Sempe Families who has successfully settled all their differences and has come out with a Sempe Mantse and further promised that the Council will work with Nii Adote Otinto II for the betterment of the Ga State.
And now Nii Adote Otinto II has ungraded his chieftaincy status and was elevated into this highest position which attest to the fact he served the people of Ga State to their expectations and satisfaction.
