Aspiring Parliamentary Candidate for Kpone Katamanso Constituency on the ticket of Ghana Union Movement (GUM), Mr. Masaudu Moro Dopo, has assured his commitment to facilitate the completion of all uncompleted social and infrastructural government intervention projects in the area if elected the Member of Parliament (MP) for the area in the upcoming December 7, 2020 general elections.
Speaking in an interview with some senior journalists on Tuesday October 13, 2020 to declare his intention to contest the election on the ticket of GUM, Mr Dopo stressed that
the completion of all those projects would provide decent employment for some professionals and artisans within the constituency.
According to him, these projects which include E- blocks which could have helped put an end to the poorly implemented but good project, free senior high school programme, to accommodate a number of students within the constituency have been left to rot.
“As a business person, he is determined to use his business strategy to harness the potential in the constituency.
“Thinking that what President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his ruling New Patriotic Party ( NPP) government promised, they will fulfill them all and initiate new ones but they have also failed big time. They have disappointed the nation,” he stated..
“At least, I have sighted two E-blocks projects within the Kpone Katamanso and Ashaiman Constituencies which would have helped a lots,” he further said.
He said if the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) government under former President John Dramani Mahama failed to complete initiated projects within the set time, must the NPP also neglect these projects,?” he questioned.
Mr. Masaudu further disclosed that the portion of land at the premises of the E-block project at Katamanso has been encroached upon because the project had stalled.
He bemoaned the poor drainage system in the whole of Kpone Katamanso, warning that care must be taken to forestall the devastating effects of downpour due to poor drainage system.
He said the most worrying of the poor drainage system was was the pouring of bathwater into the road, a situation which he said was unfortunate and not befitting the status of the constituency.
He lamented bitterly about the fact that even the free zone has accommodated a number of both foreign and local companies yet the constituency has been deprived of it’s fair share of development.
He is therefore appealing to the electorates to vote Mr. Kwabena Kyiri Abosom Andrews as president and he, Masaudu Moro Dopo as the Parliamentary Candidate to fulfill every promise made to them.
He said as part of their vision, all defunct factories would be revamping and new ones would be established.
“We are committed to our cause and will deliver on every promise we have made”, he added.
