“You should not allow yourselves to be used by politicians to go and snatch ballot boxes of the votes cast by the eligible voters just to favour any political party,” they warned the youths.”

The Acting Chief continued that any time they are contacted by politicians to cause electoral violence they should refuse and rather suggested that the politicians engage their own children to go and cause the violence.

The Queen Mother averred that “if we allow war or a fight to occur because of election and power struggle, it is women and children who would be hard hit, so mothers urgently need to advise their wards to promote peace instead of war during the polls.”

Touching on Teenage Pregnancy, she noted that the town has that challenge but working hard to ensure that they would address the issue.

She bemoaned that “unity and love that is lacking in the town should be fostered among the people so that they can be proper, each neighbor’s keeper, then adults can advise girls against teenage pregnancy even if they are not blood relations to prevent the social canker and other deviant behavior among the girls.

She pleaded with the government through their MCE and MP to fight hard to get development projects to their area for the jobless youth to gain employment and be more responsible in society.
