A clean up exercise has been organized at Bogoso in the Prestea Huni-vally Municipality to clear choked gutters which always cause flood on the Bogoso Tarkwa highway.
The exercise was organized by the National Road Safety Authority in collaboration with Western Multimedia (operators of Fact fm & Trinity fm) and Bogoso Pragya Riders Association.
Since 2016 when the Tarkwa-Bogoso-Ayenfuri road was constructed, flood always occur on the road in Bogoso, when it rains leaving a lot of sand particles on the road making driving difficult for drivers and other road users.
This usually happen between Bogoso Assankrom and Bogoso kokoase roundabout which at the end will destroy the road.
This empowered the National Road Safety Authority, Western Multimedia and Bogoso Pragya Riders Association to organize the clean-up exercise to clean the choked to prevent the road from further destruction and also save lives as well.
During the exercise, the MCE for Prestea Huni-vally Hon. Dr Isaac Dasmaani visited and supported the exercise and also promised 50bags of cement to fixed a gutter which is the main source of the problem.
He promised to engage the municipal works engineer in order to find a lasting solution to the problem to find solution to it and fixed it once and for all.
The Prestea Huni Valley Municipal Chief Executive Dr Isaac Dasmaani spoke to Trinity News reporter Oppong Kyekyeku.
National Road Safety Authority representative at the clean-up exercise Nana Yaw Asamoah Boateng who doubles as the National Road Safety Authority Youth Ambassador expressed his views on the exercise.
Chairman of the Bogoso Praggya Riders Association Mr. Wisdom Ofori also expressed his views on the exercise.
