Some dandguards including well-built macho men believed to be hired-thugs of the managing Director and owner of Lucky Herbal center Prof. Dr. Stephen Yeboah have embarked on shooting spree on Monday April, 13, 2020, ostensibly to kill people working on a parcel of land situated around Gomoa Manso in the Gomoa Central District of Central Region.
Records indicated that the said parcel of land located at Gomoa Manso belongs to the Anona Yoko family of Gomoa Oguakrom has been illegally sold to the owner of Lucky Herbal Centre.
Anona Yoko family of Gomoa Oguakrom are the custodian owners of the said parcel of land and was legally sold to Madam Comfort Oteiba of Gomoa Osamkrom in the above district and region in the year 2012 purposely for sand winning activities.
Information gathered further indicated that, on Monday, April 13th 2020, some workers with excavators of Madam Comfort Oteiba went to the said land to do some sand winning abruptly thugs numbering up to 5 came to the site with a branded lucky Herbal pick up vehicle upon alighting, two of the thugs were holding pump action guns and started shooting the excavator and the workers.
She noted that, the owner of Lucky Herbal has made himself lord over all, just because he’s rich and that he is untouchable and when he talks no one talk.
Meanwhile, she explained that after the unfortunate incident which abruptly disrupted their work on the land, they reported the matter and showed all their documents to the Agona Swedru District police command .
She has however, appealed to the IGP and the president of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akuffo Addo to intervene
The Agona Swedru district police commander Supt. Seth Yirenkyi has confirmed the unfortunate shooting incident.
He pointed out thatt some thugs using a branded Lucky Herbal pick up vehicle on Monday 13th April,2020 went to the sand winning site and shot the four tyres of the excavator whiles one person from the Swedru Municipal Assembly is receiving treatment after the gun shots.
Supt. Yirenkyi further noted that, four suspects were arrested linked to the shooting incidents and investigations are underway.
Press men went further to find out from the managing Director of Lucky Herbal Prof. Dr. Stephen Yeboah but decided not to comment about the above allegations.
