
The Tempane Health Directorate of the Ghana Health Service on Wednesday, 15th April, 2020 acknowledged receipt of some financial support to fortify the health directorate in the district in its fight against COVID-19.
The donation was made by a military personnel of the Ghana Air force based at Burma Camp, Flight Sergeant Ayamwaog Jonas, who is an illustrious son of the district.
The donation was targeted at helping the directorate in procuring items which includes, PPE, Sanitizers, Veronica buckets and detergents for the district.

In his note of receipt and appreciation, the Health Director of the district, Mr Minyila Cosmos thanked the Flight Sergeant for his continuous support to the directorate and the entire district. He acknowledged that, Flight Sergeant Ayamwaog Jonas has always supported the constituency in several ways and this particular philanthropical work by the soldier, is one of the many to the district. He had since the outbreak of the dreaded virus started a campaign against COVID-19, which has gained grounds on social media.
Responses from the inhabitants shows how content they are and would continue to be to a native, who despite he’s relentless service to the nation as a soldier, continues to support the district immeasurably.
He has been called a role model and an icon worthy of emulation.
The directorate has promised to utilize judiciously the support made to them and prayed for more support from other natives and philanthropists, stating in conclusion “the Soldier has set a very high standard others should follow”
