After Italy who is terribly hit by this coronavirus pandemic in Europe, Spain is next. Death toll in Spain has increased exponentially within 24hours do as number of infections. The fatalities recorded overnight was terrible as the number jumped to 5,690 due to 838 deaths recorded within 24hours. Hospitals and morgues were dumbfounded as one police chief was seen in pain and tears as he announced the death of his colleague.
Health emergency chief Fernando Simon said the epidemic appeared to be reaching its peak in some areas but Spain was short of intensive care unit beds.
As Spain prepared to enter its third week of partial lockdown, things appear to be worse off.
