Parliament approved the visa waiver deal on Friday before MPs took a weekend break. Minister of Foreign Affairs submitted the paperwork to parliament for approval.

This comes after South Africa’s Department of Home Affairs added Ghana to a list of seven countries whose nationals will be permitted to enter South Africa visa-free. South Africa announced in September 2018, that it was finalising a number of visa waiver agreements with other countries including Ghana to allow travellers to enter the country without a visa. 1. With this new visa waiver traveling in Ghana for the diplomats of this six nation will be more easier. Although this may only apply for holders of diplomatic passport and official passport, maybe in the next month or years they would also waive the visa for common people.
